Anaheim's Caceres wins Player of the Week award
The American League's best player of the week was Anaheim's 
<a href=p2562.html>Jose Caceres</a>, who wins the award 
for the 1st time in his career. Jose was on fire, hitting 
.536 with 2 HR and 5 RBI. Caceres has walked 23 times 
this year and posts a .387 OBP. While batting .352, 
157 for 446, he has driven in 52 runs. He's 6th in 
the American League in batting! The National League 
Player of the Week award goes to <a href=p493.html>Camilo 
Llorent</a>, San Diego's starting third baseman. Camilo 
pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .571 with 4 HR and 
8 RBI while slugging 1.238. Camilo has gone 125 for 
372 (.336) this season, hitting 18 bombs and driving 
in 64 runs. He has scored 71 runs on his own.
